POSTED BY JAMI S – A READER CONTRIBUTED STORY

I have included both the name of both the woman who tried to destroy my family and my husband is this writing because neither are innocent and my husband and I have been very open with our family and friends about what happened. Both he and I agreed that the names needed to be here as proof that he has nothing more to hide.

My husband, Chad, is the principle of an Intermediate school in Indiana. He had been talking to a woman, Michelle, who is a teacher in another corporation also in Indiana about some school matters. They graduated high school together, as far as I know they never had a relationship, and reconnected on Facebook. I was privy to some of their conversations and didn’t think anything of it. The conversation continued and my husband became semi secretive about what they were talking about. RED FLAG! I managed to get into his Facebook account and discovered that they had been sending each other messages that ended in I love you. How long this went on I do not know. My husband and I were having our difficulties in our marriage, as everyone does at times, and were working through them or so I thought. I confronted him about the messages and made him shut down his Facebook account but I found an email from Michell telling him to open up another account under an alias and she would do the same in case her husband got wise.

I know that they communicated through their school email regularly as I had gotten into his school email several times. They were not talking about work. This woman had the gall to go to one of our children’s sporting events. Can you imagine how that made me feel to find out that she was at one of my children’s events and that he had invited her to come.

Michelle was married at the time also and I’m sure that her affair with my husband is why she divorced her husband. I know that he told her that he was thinking of divorcing me and she thought that they would ride off into the sunset together. Her husband had no idea of the affair until I told him. I regret doing that because I know how much that must have destroyed him. To know that your wife threw away over fifteen years together over what amounted to a maybe. He is a policeman and I’m probably lucky that he didn’t seek some type of revenge on my husband. I know what I wanted to do to her and I don’t imagine that he was thinking any different.

Michelle would not leave my husband alone. He had to change his cell number, deactivate his email account and yes he did get rid of his other Facebook account. I was present when he told her to stop contacting him but she continued. Obviously I can’t monitor every aspect of my husbands life but I have access to his phone itemized phone records and the password to his school email and I have subscribed to several services to routinely check his name, date of birth and social security number for other accounts of any kind that might open up. He has been putting forth the effort to try to earn my trust back and I want this to work. Only time will tell.

As for Michelle she has stopped trying to contact him, as far as I can tell. I had considered contacting her employer and making them aware that she was sending intimate emails when she should have been teaching and she was using their email to do it but thought better of it. Michelle has two children of her own and she would surely lose her job and why burden her now ex-husband with having to pay this attempted home wrecker more money.

My husband is not innocent in this and I’m not trying to make it sound as if he is but for her to throw away everything she had and attempt to get my husband to do the same just disgusts me.
