I agree with justontime. The old saying wed in haste repent at leisure has a lot of truth in it. Take things slowly, get to know the person properly and if you have reason to doubt him, trust your instincts and move on. These checks are madness and the day I am tempted to do that will be time for me to give up on the human race.

Justontime, you are correct! The world has gone mad! Imagine having to do this every time you meet a man of interest. I hate that the single women of today have to resort to these actions.

I can see this couls be useful in occasional cases, but if they are seriously suggesting that we do a background search on every serious boyfriend, I think the world has gone mad. There has to be some trust.

I think many women have decided to skip marriage altogether to avoid expending energy trying to figure out who is good husband material and who isn’t!

Since we all know that persons can lie and cheat way through to the honeymoon, I think as soon as one starts a relationship they should start their checks, even if the relationships does not end up in marriage.

I can see how some people would find solace in doing a background check.

Unfortunately, the information can only hit the highlights and it doesn’t paint a very good picture of what the person is like on a day in, nay out basis.

This sounds more like an spy investigation before marriage! I guess that if I need to find out this way about liars and cheaters, then maybe that person is not the right one for me.
