SageMother, I don’t think it’s just “rules” that need to be changed.

Women and men are just pre-dispositioned to react differently.

What do they say again…. “Men use love to get sex and women use sex to get love”?

I’ve seen those statistics about men cheating more, but it doesn’t make much sense to me because they with someone, so women must be involved somewhere.

Although statistics use to say that men cheat more, I think those statistics are changing (unfortunately) and are reflecting that a lot of women also cheat.

This what nature intended. I see little evidence that nature intended for men to settle down with a wife and children, then stop seeking other partners. Testosterone is the fuel that creates that “wander lust”.

With this in mind, we have religious and social structures that prevent women from taking the leadership roles that nature intended for them, and didn’t intend for the testosterone bathed brain.

You have every right and reason to be upset by this imbalance, but there are people working to change it.

I think surveys are accurately reflecting women’s no longer being dependent on men, which is necessary for traditional marriage.

Parental values should have little influence on an adult who feels comfortable exercising their personal freedom. It is how that adult feels about themselves that is most important.

I’m not sure it is fair to label the other partner as blindly trusting. In a relationship it is normal to be trusting, that is one of the foundations of a relationship.

This is just sad, but it just goes to show how men can be so sneaky and girlfriend (and wives) can be so blindly trusting.
