Ooooh, oooh, oooh, that makes me cross my legs and wince and I’m not even a bloke!! Certainly if this sort of retribution was more common I think more men would reconsider before cheating.
I think there needs to be differentiation between revenge, like dragging a key through an expensive paint job, and insanity, which is anything that involves maiming someone permanently or running them down with a car.
People who cut others or cause other permanent physical damage, seem to be out of their minds during the commission of the act.
I agree and in the end they are the only ones that end up getting in trouble and usually it is over a person that is not worth it.
Ouch! That hurts even to think about. I can imagine being very angry with a cheating lover. I can even imagine fantasizing about wanting to cause them bodily harm. What I can’t imagine is actually doing it.
You’re right Calypso. How ever much I felt I’d been wronged, I don’t think I have it in me to do them physical harm like that.

My husband turned green during the first 30 seconds watching it. He then looked at me and said “don’t you get any ideas!”.
Imaginary Diva, the perfect response to your husband would be, “Don’t YOU get any ideas! If you behave, so will I.” LOL.
I never even thought to show this to hubby. Wonder what his reaction would be? I agree though getting violent to get revenge wouldn’t make me feel better in the end.
The video didn’t say what the happened to these women, based on the law, but we know, we would be put behind bars for a few years. That would be punishing ourselves as well.
SageMother, people get do mentally imbalanced when it comes to matters of the heart and it takes a really strong person to resist the urge to hurt back.
As to how far people will go when they think of revenge…. it’s tragic when their minds become too clouded with all the hurt that they don’t seem to think first before doing something bad.
Tater03, I think for most of these cheaters it’s the fun on the side that they are after. I don’t even think for one minute that they really do intend to leave the person they are with or they would have done it already.

Green-Moo, I’ve always been level headed most of my life so maybe I would have thought about exacting revenge the worst way possible….. but I would have thought that I wouldn’t let them get the worst out of me!

Yes, Imaginary Diva, I do remember that scandal, although I think she accused her husband of rape rather than cheating. Anyway, for years afterwards I saw bumper stickers that read, “Lorena Bobbitt for Surgeon General!”
Molly, I just asked my partner if the threat of penile dismemberment would stop him from considering cheating. He said that he’d never consider cheating on me ever ever and please would I put the knife down.
Actually, he said that if I thought that threat was serious he would leave straight away as he wouldn’t want to spend his life with someone who thought bloodletting was a valid solution to a problem.
Ooops, that should have read ‘he said that if HE thought that threat was serious …’.

Calypso, see! People do root for other people’s bad judgement because they stood up and said no more. Still…. bad judgement on her part, but for some strange reason we still can’t help being amused by what happened to the mr.
Yes, I guess that they would keep the Thai doctors in business. I just cannot imagine doing this to someone.
I can see getting revenge but by burning their clothes or something along those lines. I would hope that I would not be so mad that I would have it in me to physically harm another person like that.

But a couple of months ago, one of my closest girlfriends attacked her fiance with a knife and I’ve always thought she was as sane as they come. It was a miracle nobody was hurt and he didn’t press charges. He did come by the next day with a van and moved his stuff out.
