This is taken from a TV programme? It’s appalling that people’s personal misery is turned into public entertainment.
Green-Moo, oh my, you are really missing out.
This is one of the most popular cheating tv shows. You can catch more episodes on Youtube.com if you like.
That’s what I find so sad, that it’s really popular. How can the viewing public think that watching people display their pain and heartbreak is entertaining?
Green-Moo, I don’t think that is going to go away anytime soon. Look at how the media portrays the celebrities. If they do good, you don’t hear about it. But the minute they are a mile closer to overstepping their boundaries, every tabloid is talking about it and the rest of the world stays glued to the tube.
I know, I know Imaginary-diva. And the media will never change their position on this whilst the public laps it up so.
Green-Moo, lots of people might have to find a job elsewhere if we didn’t lap it up….
As is, entertainment right now is looking to be one of the most stable job industry in the US.
Hmmm, bad argument! Lots of prison warders would be out of work if people stopped committing crimes, but I’m not going to go and get myself arrested just to keep them working!
Sorry, I still think the media have their priorities wrong, and you’re not going to sway my opinion!
Green-Moo, a really interesting thing happened during my trip to L.A. last week.
A friend of mine from New York and I were walking out of a restaurant on Sunset Strip after dinner and the papparazzi accosted us and wanted to know if there were celebrities dining at the same restaurant!
Wow, they were lined up for blocks and blocks….. People have to eat and hunting for media exposes are quite profitable.
I know there are even websites that track the whereabouts of some celebrities, and if they get a picture, they can sell it!
I didn’t think that the media was that desparate.
I have seen this show a couple of times, and it just sickens me. Here’s one more show capitalizing on people’s heartache.
Interesting.
A few months ago I heard about this service where you can HIRE people to act as paparazzi for you, so that when you leave a restaurant or another public venue, they are all around clicking pix, calling your name and generally making a spectacle out of YOU!
It’s a far cry from getting busted spoiling a toy boy, but I wonder if some people don’t secretly thrive on some of the attention, even if it is negative?
