I still find it a little surprising that some of these people risk jail terms for lying in court about some of their activities.

Not all public figures do that – There are examples of some who just concede that they were caught for bad behavior and take the consequences as they are.

This is not even controversy that sells newspapers or magazines, it’s about breaking the trust of the people.

It turns out that cheating was not the only thing he was being bad about either.

Politicians usually are very good at not telling the truth! But I’m glad that he is getting into a heated argument. I hope he really gets punished.

Liza, I just heard that he was given a jail sentence because cheating is not the only sin that he’s committed….. apparently, he was also spending the government’s coffers.

I think that we are seeing a behavior that is getting ready to disappear. Not the cheating, but people being shocked by it.

Sooner or later these things have to become non-issues. There are more important problems to deal with.

Liza, you are right about that. However, when a person takes a position of trust, then their conduct is always in the limelight no matter whether they like it or not.

And in this case, when you lie about things like these you break the trust.

Tater03, I guess it’s different when you get caught and only a few people know.

Can you imagine getting caught and the whole north america knows! I think that is just so embarassing.

Accer, exactly. I just can’t seem to get over though how this man is very much loved by his party and the city people.
