Revenge is, as Shakespeare said, a dish best served cold. The best part is, they took the curtain rods with them!
MollyL, LOL! Isn’t it just a funny video?
I couldn’t stop laughing afterwards!
It’s funny, Imaginary Diva. But I still don’t like to see these sort of things that make entertainment out of people’s misery.
GreenMoo, for me, as a third party looking in, I really think it’s funny how juvenile people get when it comes to this revenge thing between exes.
This movie is really making an entertainment of their misery. But I think they’ve placed themselves there. There has to be a point that you step away and turn the other way.
I suppose you’re right I-D, but haven’t we all done ridiculous things when we’re emotionally overheated and regretted them later? Now imagine that you can never forget that act because it’s been broadcast to the nation ….
Green-Moo, whether the whole world knows or just your neighborhood folks, it is embarassing nonetheless. It just comes down to our threshold of what we feel is embarassing, I guess. Some people take pleasure in knowing that they have outed a cheater. Believe it or not, some of the personal postings that have come through here at IDCheaters have made me bat an eye. Of course, they were the ones that never made it to being published…..
I imagine some of them really make you wonder …. !!
With regards to your comment about embarassment thresholds, I wonder nowadays whether some people have one at all!
I believe most pepole think “yes, I did it an I don’t care what others think…..”, and go on with their lives, as long as they don’t end up in prison.
I heard of one lady that even removed the carpet from the house when she left her husband. Can’t remember who she was, though.
Green-Moo, they are in their own little world and I don’t think they even notice that there are other people outside their bubble of revenge.
Now I think that is a shame, because eventually they will wake up to the rest of the world again and that’s when they’ll regret anything stupid that they did.
SageMother, whether it’s not a very nice thing to do. Revenge can sometimes be very sweet. Most people do think that they are in the right when they do things like this.
Green-Moo, I guess one day they will…. after they stop regreting marrying their exes!
Might be a long time.
I am with Green-Moo on this one, I think it is a shame that when people feel hurt, angry and betrayed they seem unable to retain any dignity. It is not necessary to air all their issues in public, and acts of revenge just lead to more and more bitterness and hurt. In many relationship breakdowns there are children to consider and this sort of war betwen the parents is terribly damaging for them.
I have to admit that just as entertainment the video was funny.
justontime, people are petty in nature when they are hurt.
I am sure somewhere along the line you probably felt the same way. I know I have…..
And I really did feel awhole lot better afterwards.
Someone who is hurt, angry, and betrayed is probably doing more to support their dignity than the person who tries to keep everything quiet.
Yes, these scenes can be ugly but the catharsis has to be beneficial, on some level!
I couldn’t see the video! It tells me that it is no longer available… but I guess it was a very interesting thing to watch for all the comments I read.
I couldn’t view the video, unfortunately. It says that this “video has been removed by the user.” I wish I could have seen it.
I haven’t seen it either, but I suspect that it may have something to do with a story of someone putting fish inside curtain rods?
I think it’s tough to comment on the situation of revenge without knowing the details, so I’ll pass.
